Chess Blocker ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. Chess Blocker does not collect data. We do not transmit any information off your device, and we do not use any third-party data collection services. All data is stored locally on your device only.

This Privacy Policy explains what data is stored locally on your device and how it is used within the app.

DATA STORAGE (NOT COLLECTION)

Important: Chess Blocker does NOT collect data as defined by Apple and privacy regulations. We do not transmit any data off your device to external servers or third-party services. All information is stored exclusively on your device using iOS UserDefaults.

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following information is stored locally on your device only (never transmitted):

• Puzzle Statistics: Total puzzles solved, daily/monthly counts, success rates, and achievement progress
• App Preferences: Your difficulty settings, blocked app names (for cooldown mechanism), and app configuration
• Onboarding Status: Whether you have completed the initial setup process
• Shortcuts Setup Status: Whether you have confirmed setting up iOS Shortcuts automations
• Cooldown Data: Temporarily stores which app was last unlocked and when (for 37-second cooldown period)

Information Stored During Onboarding

During onboarding, the following information is stored locally on your device (not collected/transmitted):

• Age range (stored locally, required for App Store compliance)
• User goals and preferences (stored locally on your device)

This information is used only within the app and is never transmitted off your device or shared with any external parties.

What We Do NOT Collect or Transmit

Chess Blocker does not collect, transmit, or share any of the following:

• Your name, email address, or contact information
• Your location data
• Information from other apps on your device (we only receive app names you select in Shortcuts, used locally only)
• Payment information (handled entirely by Apple)
• Photos, camera, or microphone access
• Screen Time data or device activity monitoring
• Analytics or usage data sent to external servers
• Any data transmitted off your device

In summary: We do not collect data as defined by Apple and privacy regulations. All data remains on your device and is never transmitted to external servers or third parties.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

Since all data is stored locally on your device, we use your information only within the app itself:

• App Functionality: Store your puzzle progress, statistics, and achievements to provide personalized feedback
• Cooldown Mechanism: Temporarily track which app was unlocked to prevent immediate re-blocking (37-second cooldown)
• Settings Persistence: Remember your preferences and configuration so you don't have to reconfigure the app
• Onboarding State: Track whether you've completed setup to provide appropriate UI flow

Important: We do not analyze, aggregate, or transmit your data to external servers. All processing happens entirely on your device.

Chess Blocker is designed with privacy as a core principle. All data is stored locally on your deviceand is never transmitted to external servers. We do not collect analytics data, create user profiles, or track you across other apps or websites. Your puzzle statistics, preferences, and settings remain entirely on your device and are under your control.

All of your data is stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults, including:

• Your puzzle solving statistics and achievements
• App preferences and settings
• Blocked app names (only the names you configure in Shortcuts)
• Cooldown timestamps (temporary, deleted after cooldown expires)

Since all data remains on your device, it is protected by iOS security features and your device's encryption. We do not transmit any data to external servers, so your information never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it (e.g., through screenshots or manual export).

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND PERMISSIONS

Chess Blocker does not integrate with third-party advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics services. We do not sell, trade, or transfer your information to outside parties.

iOS Shortcuts Integration: Chess Blocker works through iOS Shortcuts automations, which you configure yourself. The app does not require Screen Time permissions or any special system-level access. When you set up a Shortcuts automation, it may pass the name of the app you selected to Chess Blocker, but this information is only used locally to display which app is being blocked.

Chess Blocker does not have access to your device activity, app usage patterns, or any information beyond what you explicitly configure in your Shortcuts automations.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Chess Blocker is designed for users aged 13 and above. We store age information locally during onboarding to ensure compliance with children's privacy laws. Since we do not collect or transmit any data, no personal information from children under 13 is transmitted off the device. If you have any concerns, please contact us immediately.

YOUR RIGHTS AND DATA CONTROL

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:

• Access: All your data is accessible through the app itself (statistics, settings, etc.)
• Deletion: Delete the app at any time to remove all stored data from your device
• Reset: Reset your statistics or preferences through the app settings
• No Data Collection: Since we don't collect data on servers, there's no external data to request deletion of
